Size Guide
Caromiki carries formal and evening wear sized in letters from XS through 3XL. Each product page is the authoritative source for that item's measurements, fit notes, and size recommendations. This guide explains how to take your own measurements, how to read a product's size information, and what to consider when you fall between sizes.
Taking Your Body Measurements
Most evening gowns and coordinated sets in this catalog are sized by bust, waist, and hip. Use a soft, flexible measuring tape and wear the undergarments you plan to pair with the outfit.
- Bust: Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it level and snug against the body without compressing the tissue. Stand naturally with arms relaxed at your sides.
- Waist: Measure at the narrowest part of your torso, typically just above the navel. Keep the tape parallel to the floor and avoid pulling tight.
- Hip: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, usually 7–9 inches below the waist. Keep feet together for a consistent reading.
Write down your numbers in inches. If a product's chart lists a range (for example, 33–35 inches for a size S), that range represents the body measurement the garment is designed to accommodate. If it lists a single number, it may represent the finished garment dimension—check the product description for clarification.
Reading a Product's Size Information
Some Caromiki product pages include a detailed size chart with bust, waist, hip, and sometimes length measurements. Others provide fit descriptions only. Here is what to look for on each item:
- Size chart with numbers: Compare your body measurements to the listed values. Note whether the chart labels them as body measurements or garment measurements.
- Fit description: Phrases like "slim column fit," "fitted bodice," or "relaxed trousers" tell you how the garment is designed to sit on the body.
- Measurement tolerance: Several products note that manual measurement may vary by 0.4–1.2 inches. Treat chart numbers as a guide, not a guarantee.
Not every product will have all three. If a page lacks a size chart, use the fit description and your own measurements to make a reasonable comparison, or reach out for help before ordering.
When You Fall Between Sizes
Some product pages include specific between-size guidance—for example, recommending you size up for a more comfortable fit across the bust or hip. Follow that product's own recommendation rather than applying a single rule across the entire catalog. A gown with a structured bodice and a flowing A-line skirt may behave differently from a fitted column silhouette, even at the same size label.
Consider these factors before deciding:
- Which measurement is closest to the upper or lower end of the range?
- Does the fit description emphasize structure (where a tighter fit may be less forgiving) or drape (where a little extra room may look intentional)?
- Do you prefer a body-skimming or a slightly relaxed silhouette?
Still Unsure? Ask Before You Order
If a product page does not provide enough information to confidently choose a size, email us at brown@caromiki.shop. To help us give you a useful answer, include:
- The product name or link
- Your bust, waist, and hip measurements in inches
- Which two sizes you are comparing
- Whether you want a fitted or relaxed look
Please do not send photos of your body in the email. Written measurements are sufficient and more respectful of your privacy. Our team can share what the product's construction suggests, but we cannot guarantee a perfect fit for every body shape.
